DAY 1 (20 October 2012, Saturday)
Novi and I set off at 6.30am in the morning and arrived in KL at around 9.30. We headed straight to Jalan Ampang for the legendary Foong Foong Ampang Yong Tau Foo. The whole place was packed, so the food must be good! We ordered some mixed items, as well as the recommended fried dumplings.

After brunch, it was just a 10mins drive from Jalan Ampang to the DoubleTree by Hilton Kuala Lumpur Hotel. The hotel is relatively new, and offers a signature warm cookie and outstanding Malaysian hospitality.

The hotel is also conveniently located in the heart of the Malaysian capital city and is within 10 minutes’ walk of Petronas Twin Towers and Kuala Lumpur Convention Center. However, we took a complimentry shuttle service to the KLCC to eat my favourite Assam Laksa at the Little Penang Cafe.

Upon check out at 2pm, we drove to KLCC for another bowl of Assam Laksa, Curry Mee, Otak, and Chendol before departing KL for Singapore.

The journey back was pretty smooth as it was a weekday drive. We had a car wash at Gelang Patah, and headed to Chua Kee for dinner, before driving home.
